Since 1993, The Running Factory has been supporting and developing the running and walking community in Windsor and Essex County with top quality shoes, apparel, advice and events. With humble beginnings in a 700 sq. foot store on Wyandotte St. East with only two employees, The Running Factory has expanded to include a second store location on Walker Rd., an online store, and a friendly, knowledgeable staff of twenty-two.

The Running Factory is proud to have served the community for the past 25 years, creating a positive, informative and friendly relationship with customers. We take the time to measure the length and width of the foot to determine which shoe will offer the proper fit and support, based on your goals and needs. Our inventory is constantly expanding as we work to serve the needs of our customers and to offer the best selection of products, from the biggest names in running and athletic footwear, and clothing.

The Running Factory also offers a “Learn to Run Clinic” and a “Marathon & Half-Marathon Clinic”. Whether you want to learn how to run or hone in on your running skills to tackle your next running challenge, like a half or full marathon, our clinics will help you grow as a runner and succeed in your pursuits. We’ve cultivated a lifelong community of runners of all abilities!

We also offer numerous racing and community events, like the iconic “Spring Thaw 5K” held in April to kick off the season, along with “The Moon in June”, “Tim Horton’s Night Run” and “Via Italian Foot Race”. The Running Factory is a proud sponsor of Hospice, We Care for Kids, The Children’s Health Foundation, Windsor-Essex Community Foundation, Maryvale, and many more organizations that support and enrich the local community.
